Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 24, 2026
This is a personal project. I don't run ads, sell any data, or share personal information with third parties. This page explains what's collected and how it's used.
What is collected
- Your IP address and user agent — the whole point of this app is to show these back to you. They're read from the incoming request and displayed. They aren't stored server-side beyond normal web logs.
- Preferences — your light/dark theme choice and cookie-consent decision are stored in your browser's local storage.
- Standard server logs — the hosting platform (Microsoft Azure App Service) records basic request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp, URL) for up to 30 days for reliability and security. These logs are not aggregated, analyzed, or shared.
Cookies and local storage
No tracking or advertising cookies are used. Typical local storage entries:
theme— your light/dark mode preference.cookie_consent— whether you accepted the cookie banner.
Third-party services
None. No analytics, no ad networks, no trackers.
Your rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data held about you. Since the only data stored about you lives on your own device, you can clear it any time in your browser's site-data controls.
For requests about server-side data (currently just the standard web logs described above), contact admin@chrisclark.net.
